Bank Of England – Target 2.0 – National Competition

February 28, 2012 in Business Studies & Economics by M Pears

A belated ‘well done’ to the four AS Economics students who competed in this prestigious national competition where each team gets to play Chancellor for a day and decide on the best course of action for the UK economy. They delivered a 15 minute presentation to a panel of three Bank of England judges.

Harry Martin, Abi Marshall, Sam and Ben Longbottom-Smith (with Dan White as substitute) performed with outstanding confidence and competency against fifteen other teams ,comprised mainly of A2 students. The judges deemed their presentation one of the best. They then fielded a series of questions about the UK economy. A great effort and who knows where they could end up next year!
